About Us:
Conte Electric, a family-owned and operated business, was started in 1965 by
Victor Conte with a goal of providing quality workmanship at a fair price. Vic had
completed a four-year electrical apprenticeship and had worked for four years in the
electrical field. He also attended additional training at local colleges and vocational
programs.
At the very beginning, we recognized that a satisfied customer was our #1 asset.
Our goal has always been to be honest and fair in all our dealings with our customers.
In 1973 we purchased office/warehouse/shop space at 34 Brook Street in Croton-
on-Hudson (we are still there) and expanded the business which then had only two
trucks.
In 1998, Nick Kalyvas joined our staff after working for several years in both
residential and commercial projects. He is now our General Manager.
Today, a staff of twelve electricians and apprentices (and eight trucks), an office
staff, two service technicians/emergency call workers, as well as the owner and a
general manager, make up our Conte Electric team.
Conte Electric specializes in all aspects of residential wiring and light commercial

Our office staff, headed by Diane Trombacco, takes phone calls and schedules
service work and appointments for free estimates. Owner Vic Conte and general
manager Nick Kalyvas do all the estimates, layouts of the jobs and full supervision of
all of Conte Electric’s work – “Where Quality Counts!”.
Employees of Conte Electric are encouraged to attend additional vocational
education courses, and courses on new electrical code requirements. All of our
electrical service employees must attend weekly “Conte Electric College” seminars
on electrical installations, safety, and code requirements so we all can be up-to-date
on the ever-changing electrical service and safety code.
Our office and service staff love what they do, and take pride in their work. Special
care is taken to respect our customers’ requests and their property. Our staff is
committed to the highest level in all our work – “Where Quality Counts!” All of
our trucks carry drop cloths, clean up materials, latex gloves and booties. Our goal
is to completely clean up after ourselves.
Conte Electric is licensed in both Westchester County and Putnam County.
We are bonded and carry liability insurance, worker’s compensation, completed
products insurance and umbrella coverage.
